Supermoon - 19th March 2010
The photos below shows the 'Supermoon' of 19th March 2011 when the Moon was the closest it has been to the Earth since March 1993. The moon was at a very favourable perigee which resulted in it being about 14% bigger and 30% brighter than a full moon when at apogee.

1) Canon EOS400D - 8 seconds at F5.6 with 300mm telephoto lens at ISO100 merged with second moon shoot at 1/200 sec to get the moon surface detail.
2) Celestron NexStar SLT 102 with Canon EOS400D at prime focus; 1/500 sec at 100 ASA.
